Description of the company

VÚB Kupón IF was an investment fund founded in the first phase of coupon privatisation by VÚB Invest, a.s. and it was the biggest investment fund in Slovakia in terms of share capital. After an investment group took possession of it, it was transformed into Stratégia invest, a.s., subsequently merged with the Interfin Group, a.s. and converted to a public limited company. Then it was divided into two companies - Istrofin, a.s., the actual successor of the original fund, and Interfin, a.s.

Acquisition

The acquisition took place in March 1996 by buying shares from investment coupon holders and by concentrating small stakes from domestic investors. We carried it out on our own account with funding provided by us. subsequently, we sold the shares to a client. We managed to buy a 3.3% participation in the share capital. The acquisition volume totalled 136 million SKK.
